Hunting Gordons Started Dogs : If you want or need a started or finished Hunting Gordon Setter, we have available on occasion, several out of our proven brood matrons. The price range of started and finished dogs begin at $1,400 and increases as the dogs progress through their training and gain Wild bird experience.The price range of started dogs is based on availability, extensiveness of training, nose and style. A started dog in the $1,800 plus range would typically have a nice natural point and hold birds to the shot, Stop to Flush, Whoa on Command, handle with soft voice and take hand signals. This work is done on liberated Quail and depending on age will also have Wild Bird experience on Grouse and Woodcock! Our dogs are encouraged to retrieve naturally, however, we do not usually force break dogs to retrieve until after their first or second year of Wild Bird Hunting.
Price range of finished dogs - $2,500 and UP. Price is dependent on training, experience, and style. These dogs do it all THEY ....Point....they are Steady to wing shot and fall of game.....Retrieve to hand....Honor....Take Hand signals....Stop to a whoa command from any distance and in any situation.... Heck! .... a bird in the air means Whoa and so does the sound of gun fire! These dogs have wild bird experince and are truely Brag Dogs!
